My French Dip Recipe…

So Stasha over at http://www.northwestmommy.com/ suggested I post a crock pot recipe a week. I kinda liked the idea so here we go…I thought I’d share with you one of my easiest and favorite recipes which I happened to make this week.

French Dip

1 roast (depending on how much meat you want between 3-6 pounds I usually use a 6 pound one.)

2 cans french onion soup

2 cans beef broth

1 soup can full of water.

I put all those together and let them simmer for about 6 hours on low, or until there is no more pink. From there I take the roast out and slice it into thin slices before returning it back into the pot. Let it sit for about another hour and then you’re ready. Grab a hogie roll and your favorite cheese and assemble.

Easy Peasy!!! and soooo yummy. This is one of my daddy’s favorites as well. What can I say the guy has good taste. You can also saute up some onions and mushrooms if you want as well

  4. OH YUM!!! I’m drooling so bad that now I have to fix my lipstick… xoxo

  5. Hehehe – Do you use the juices from the roast to make the au jus sauce or buy a packet of it?

  6. Thank you! I now know what we are having for dinner tonight. 🙂

    • OH good let me know how you like it!!! My dad is so picky on french dips and very conservative with his comments and he said hands down best french dip he’s ever had. My roomie of course said “not bad girlie”
