No Worries Some Bunny Loves You
It started out with these two who had free range of the backyard when we moved in. They’re nice semi domesticated rabbits who would brighten our day and hop around the yard not really causing too much trouble. Then one day I saw some babies under my neighbors porch.
If you follow me on facebook at all,you will remember my rant of when Kenna and the neighbor girl brought me one of the baby bunnies after it had been attacked by a neighboring dog….not good and it died in my arms. On a normal non pregnant day I’m too much of an empath to handle other living creature’s pain,on a pregnant day…it’s horrible.
But we had a feeling that yes the bunnies would have more kits and when they did we really did want to catch them because well even though they’re not ours(they’re the previous owners.) we do not need to be populating the neighborhood.
So the bunnies have become a bit of an obsession with me. They have had another litter to which two have met untimely deaths thanks to another cat that will not stay out of our yard. Again…not fun. But we’ve also had hours of fun watching these little guys hop around our yard
Momma bunny seems to have disappeared back a couple weeks ago.Magically now though,a bunny from the first batch of babies has come back and has been hanging around with the daddy bunny(who’s name is Pip by the way.) So I have a feeling we may have more little ones.
Our friend Kelsey caught one of the babies on 4th of July for us and we’ve named it Clover.
And the Clover is pretty much awesome.
We have plans to catch more if we can because well yes we’re sorta crazy like that. We’d like to build bigger hutches.
Yes because that’s what Casa la Crazy needs…lots and lots of more bunnies
